Explaining the Discovery Meeting Case Study Process
A step-by-step guide to using these Case Studies
STEP ONE
Select a Case Study depending upon the difficulty you would like our coaching feedback on and download a Case Study Certainty Map you have not previously used.
STEP FOUR
OK, by this step, you are armed with a voice recorder/dictaphone and a copy of the Nine Discovery Meeting Frameworks, and the ‘client’ is armed with a copy of the Case Study Certainty Map. Now let’s begin with you as the ‘adviser’ simultaneously commencing the role play and starting the dictaphone from Discovery Conversation One. The ‘client’ starts their responses from Conversation Three as per the downloaded Case Study.
STEP TWO
Print off and share the downloaded Certainty Map with a fellow team member or colleague, asking them to ‘role play the role of a client’ while you role-play the role of an adviser. (If you don’t have anyone to practice with, reach out, and we can arrange a potential case study buddy from another one of our coaching firms)
STEP FIVE
Once the role-play has been conducted, the ‘client’ and ‘adviser’ de-brief, paying particular attention to the ‘RED HIGHLIGHTS’ comments on each case study. Then the ‘adviser’ uses the ‘upload’ button to share the recording with the Certainty team for our review and to provide our coaching report/feedback – this is the whole purpose of obtaining practice and feedback.
STEP THREE
Before commencing the role play, open a copy of the Nine Discovery Conversations from the FORMS area (here) in our Certainty Curriculum to assist your role play as an adviser.
STEP SIX
Finally, the ‘adviser’ marks the case study as ‘complete’. We will provide our coaching and review report of the case study usually within five working days. If any of our comments raise questions, please use the ‘help’ or comment buttons to reach out for support. Thanks.
